Christmas Card Club - Challenge #9

Back again today with my card for the Christmas Card Club which, if you remember, I made two weeks ago by mistake!!! Yet another senior moment  (or brain f**t as I saw it called recently!!! lol).

This challenge has been set by the lovely Karen P and she's asked us to make a card in black and white with one added colour.

I've used black, white and red for my card.  I've started off with an A5 top fold card blank and cut a mat slightly smaller.  I then stamped the image which is from Sheena A Little Bit Festive series Home from Home.  I added loads of Glamour Dust to denote snow and gently coloured the windows in a light red to signify a glowing fire or light.  I've matted this onto red card and used my ribbon threader punch to add some red ribbon at the bottom.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I've added some Liquid Pearls to finish off.

Thanks for stopping by - check out the other girls' creations.......the links are on my side bar.

Happy crafting.

Addicted to CAS - Challenge #37

Hello Everyone - it's that time again............yep it's our latest challenge at Addicted to CAS and our esteemed leader Kylie has chosen the code word which is:

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

Now, as many of you will know Kylie is on a trip of a lifetime and is in London at the moment and then she's heading for Spain.  Sounds like she's having a fab time.

We are also welcoming back as Guest Designer the extremely talented Anita of My Papercraft World fame.

Now it's not often I "do" grunge but I'd recently got the Stampin Up Off the Grid stamp and also had three PaperArtsy minis which are all "grungy".  So I've stamped these using mainly DI Walnut Stain and Frayed Burlap and the Off the Grid was stamped with my Delicata GoldenGlitz.  The sentiment is SU Wonderful Words stamped onto vellum. torn and held in place with some brads.  I thought it was missing a little something so sponged three flowers with Frayed Burlap and added them.

Please pop on over to the Addicted to CAS blog where you will see some great inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.  We're looking forward to seeing what you come up with.  Don't forget the most important words are CLEAN AND SIMPLE.  Unfortunately any posts not conforming to this will be removed.

So, what are you waiting for????  Get those thinking caps on........can't wait to come and visit.

Happy crafting.

Christmas Card Challenge #8

Hello everyone and welcome to my new followers.  It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenge and this time it's the lovely Asha of Sunny Summer Crafts who has chosen the theme which is:

Christmas Lights (candles, fairy lights, lamps, lanterns)

Now I have been really busy this week and had to leave making this card until yesterday after I had done a few hours of gardening.........so I merrily went about making my card; one of those times I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  Finished it, photographed it, just going to schedule my post and then a niggling thought in my mind made me check again...........yep, I'd read the wrong challenge and made a card for the next challenge due on 27th April.  Soooooo, panic stations - what shall I do, help, ummmmh!!!! lol  Anyway I gathered myself and then thought about what I had, if anything, to meet this challenge and then remembered my lovely MB candles die.

So I die cut  three sets, one in gold mirri, one in red mirri and one in green bazzill cardstock.  I then die cut my shape using Spellbinders Labels 8 and die cut the candles again from the centre of the label.  I then paper pieced all the elements back into the negative shape.  The sentiment is Tattered Lace.  Tartan paper and red and gold glittery paper from my stash, borders are a MS snowflake border punch to which I've added red Liquid Pearls.  Sorry for the quality of the photo, I just couldn't seem to get a good photo with all the mirri card.

Thanks for popping by...........at least there's no rush for the next challenge; mine's already made!!! lol

Happy crafting.

Addicted to CAS - challenge #36

Hello everyone - well it's Saturday and that means a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. This week your hostess and the person responsible for the theme is the lovely Michelle.

Our Sponsor for this challenge is:

It's a new month, which means that we have a new Guest Designer here at ATCAS.  Please welcome the very talented Anita (in France) from MyPaperCraftWorld.

Hello … bonjour.  I’m Anita in France … and I’m blessed to live in beautiful south west France.  I’ve crafted in one way or another since I can remember and got seriously into card making about 18 months ago, when I started my blog.  My style is mainly clean and simple … sometimes quirky, sometimes graphic, occasionally whimsical.  I’m excited, delight and honored to have been invited to join the ATCAS Design Team this month and am looking forward to seeing what you create over the next few weeks.

A huge welcome to the lovely, and superbly talented, Anita; we are all looking forward to working with her for the next month.

Our lovely leader Kylie has been on my mind this week as it's only a few days before she flies off from Australia to enjoy a very well deserved holiday in the UK and Europe.  So she is behind my card today..............

I have used watercolour paper for the card which I wetted first and then brushed Distress Inks on to create a simple background.  I left it to dry overnight with a weight on top to stop it curling.  The image is the Leaning Tower of Pisa by Designs by Tabbykat stamped using Black VersaFine ink. The sentiment which was a freebie with a magazine has been stamped and punched with my EK Success Labels punch and threaded with some bakers twine.

Pop on over to the Addicted to CAS blog to have a look at Anita's gorgeous card and all the wonderful inspiration provided by the rest of the Design Team.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Friday.......

Hi folks - sorry I've not posted for a few days but have been really busy work-wise and also getting samples ready for our craft club which was held on Wednesday evening.

Just thought I'd pop by to show you what we got up to.  The first project was making a tissue box cover and lid and the second was making earrings from shrink plastic.  Here are some of my samples:

Thanks for dropping by - don't forget to stop by tomorrow for the latest challenge at Addicted to CAS.
