Just us Girls Colour Week #298, Craft Stamper June Challenge, Happy Little Stampers June Challenge and Addicted to Stamps Clean & Simple

Hello everyone to a wet and miserable Somerset Monday!  You can tell it's Glastonbury this week eh?

There are a few challenges out there which my card fits into hopefully and they are the Just Us Girls Colour Week Challenge #298 (Autumn Colours),  Craft Stamper Take it Make it Challenge for June which is Texture, Happy Little Stampers June Challenge which is Spray/Mists and Addicted to Stamps and More and they have a ton of fab prizes up for grabs.

For my card I used my Special Touch Distressed Dots stencil and sprayed some Sweet Poppy colours through the stencil.  When it was dry I then added Glass Beads Texture Paste on top, removed the stencil and set it aside to dry.  The ivy spray is Joanna Sheen and the butterfly is from a stamp set called Elegant Butterflies by Clearly Besotted and die cut using the matching die set.  The sentiment is also Clearly Besotted from a stamp set called Fresh Flowers and cut using a SU punch.  Butterfly was heat embossed using Judikins Iridescent Sparkle e/p and coloured using Wink of Stella pens.

Thanks for dropping by.

Happy crafting.

By the skin of my teeth.................Happy Little Stampers challenges

Happy Sunday from a very wet and windy Somerset!  Seems like most of the UK is receiving similar weather - so good news for us crafters eh?

Whilst I was making my card for the City Crafter challenge that I was reminded of the March challenges over at Happy Little Stampers.  The first is a sketch challenge and the second is sponging.

Hopefully I've managed to combine both challenges in one card!

I started off by sponging some SU inks onto a piece of cardstock.  I then used an IndigoBlu stamp (freebie with a magazine) using SU Not quite Navy and heat embossed it with Judikins Iridescent Sparkle e/p (which I don't think is showing up at all in the photo).  The sentiment is a Waltzingmouse sentiment stamp......... unfortunately they don't put a title of the set on the packet; and stamped and embossed as above.  I matted onto a piece of navy cardstock and then onto a prescored card.

Thanks for stopping to have a look round.

Happy crafting.

Take 3 and Faux Postage Challenges

This week Mandi and Chrissie over at Less is More have given us a recipe challenge as follows
Take 3 Challenges
We want you to choose 3 from any of our previous 29 and combine them in your design.
I am also going to enter this into the challenge over at Rainbow Lady where Chocolate Baroque are sponsoring a Faux Postage challenge.

Now giving us a challenge is fine but expecting us to choose three out of the last 29 challenges goes a bit far!!!  lol  For my card I have chosen Week 4 Three Squares, Week 15 Embossing and Week 19 In the Frame.
I've taken an A5 card blank and stamped my Judikins Square Postage Frame.  I then masked off the outside, punched a circle for the sun/moon and then brayered using Big & Juicy Foliage.  I removed the punched circle and then moved onto the other two postage frames in turn.  I then inked up my Judikins African Safari cube stamp and stamped an image inside each of the frames.  To finish the card off I used my Hougie Board to add some embossed lines.

Thanks for dropping in.

Bah Humbug - challenge 22 Surprise Surprise

This week's challenge over at Humbug Hall is Surprise Surprise and to produce something which contains a 'Surprise'.  My sister recently made me a birthday card with a surprise and so have decided to make one of these tea light cards (my one contained pots of glitter - what else!!!).

The backing card I've used is from Dovecraft "Let it Snow" pad and the main cardstock is a pearl copper card.  The stamp is by Judikins called "Angel Peeking" and it's been stamped with Memento ink and coloured with Promarkers.  I used a Quickie Glue Pen around the halo and wings and added Glamour Dust.  I have used nestabilities labels 4 to die cut everything on this project including the aperture in the box which has an acetate window.  The sentiment inside is from Dovecraft Christmas Wishes clear stamp set.  Everything has been finished off with some gold glitter ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by.
