Less is More - week 17 Recipe Squares

Choices, choices!!  Don't you just hate them?  lol  This week Chrissie & Mandi over at Less is More have asked the LIMettes to choose a square and only use that area of the card and leave all the rest blank..........  It's quite strange when deciding where to put your focal image when you don't have the freedom you normally have - so for me it was a case of roughly stamping my image and cutting it out and then placing it in each of the squares to see which looked best.  I think the centre square is the most obvious choice but I have gone for the bottom left corner.  It looked too top heavy on the left or right top and a bit strange bottom right but I think that's because we read from left to right.  Anyway, I have chosen this gorgeous image called Love Bunny from Stampabilities.  I coloured with Promarkers and die cut using nesties.  The sentiment is from the Stampin Up set Whimsical Words and punched using SU oval and scalloped oval punches.

  4. Decisions, decisions and I think you made the right one - I agree top right or left would have looked top heavy. Oddly enough I've gone for bottom right as the eye travels from left to right and that placement stops it travelling off the edge of the page - all down to personal preference in the end.

  8. It's a great idea to try an image is various spots before deciding the final position, but your image may have looked "top heavy" in some places because of the matting. If you had stamped directly onto the card I think that this cute little image would have sat very happily in any of the spaces... but he looks great where he is!
    Thanks so much Karen.
