His weeks challenge from Humbug Towers is beads. I've gone really small for this with a 4" square card with decorated edge from Craftwork Cards. It's covered with backing paper from my stash and the main image is stamped and embossed onto white pearl card. This is from the Stampin Up Contempo Christmas stamp set. It's been matted onto some co-ordinating card. I've then raised it up with foam pads after putting a piece of organza ribbon across. The beading on this card has been made from various beads on craft wire and I've used a Coiling Gizmo which is a really fun piece of equipment for making all kinds of wire jewellery etc.
Thanks for stopping by.

"F"" is for ........... flowers

The current Craftwork Cards challenge is "F" is for flowers. I used some of my Craftwork stash to make this card. I used a sheet of their pink and white swirl paper and added a swirl frame which has been inked. I then added some Craftwork flowers with some card candy in the centres and five greetings butterflies, four of which I turned round so the sentiment wasn't showing and just left the one in the middle showing the sentiment. I added some pink wire to the centre butterfly, some gems and a bit of Stickles. The last addition was a pink ribbon.
Thanks for looking.

"R" is for...............

Thought I'd join in the Craftwork Cards challenge where they are spelling out their name in challenges.
This one is "R" is for ribbon. I had bought a goody bag from Craftwork Cards sometime last year and it was languishing on my shelves so I decided to get it out and dust it down.............. riffling through all the goodies I found the pink and brown swirly paper so decided to cut it diagonally and place a piece of their polka dot pink and white ribbon along the cut side of the paper and tied a knot in the centre. The card flowers have been shaped and some candy added to the centres. The butterflies were also shaped and the chocolate sentiments matted onto pink and chocolate cardstock. Then what goes with chocolate???? Well some glitter of course....... l0l. I added some pink cosmic twinkles.
Thanks for looking.

Birthday cards
As well as it being my sister Val's birthday at the beginning of December it was also Anne's birthday whilst we were away in Paignton on the parchment weekend.
For my sister's card I have used a lovely little stamp set from Craftwork Cards called "Shaken not Stirred". Val loves her
cocktails and I thought this was so appropriate for her. I stamped the image of the cocktail glass three times and matted and layered onto red cardstock. I stamped the cherry image into each of the glasses in red ink and then used Diamond Glaze over the top of them. I stamped the cherry image on the card base using first, second and third impressions. Used a lovely piece of foiled black/silver card and placed my three glasses on top. I then used my nesties for the greeting.
The card for Anne used the cupcakes stamp set from Creative Expressions which was then
matted and layered using my nesties. I used an impressabilities for the background piece of card which had been inked with VersaMark so after I had run it through my Big Shot I then dusted it with embossing powder which gives a really nice effect. I used a Martha Stewart lace border punch ontop of the background card and also on the greeting.
