Addicted to Stamps - Christmas in July Challenge

A huge thank you to all those fantastic bloggers who have been entering our challenges over at Addicted to Stamps - the entries have been amazing.

The latest challenge is Christmas in July and basically it does what it says on the tin!!! lol

For my card I have used a new stamp which I absolutely fell in love with (nothing new there then......).  It's called Kissy Time from Cuddly Buddly and I just thought this little robin was so cute.  I've stamped using Memento ink and coloured with Flexmarkers.  I added Stickles to his hat and the mistletoe berry.  I've die cut the image using my new Stampin Up Framelits dies and I've used these for the mat.  The bp is from my stash and the white snowflake border is a Martha Stewart punch.  The sentiment was stamped in red and I've used SU Word Window and Modern Label to punch it out.  Ribbon and poinsettias also from my stash.

Thanks for popping by.  I love to hear your comments and will pop over to your blog and return the favour.

I would also like to enter into the Winter Wonderland challenge Monochromatic and the Secret Crafter challenge which is Christmas

Vellum & Christmas Humour

As we're still really busy decorating, moving furniture etc etc I have incorporated two challenges into my card.  Over at Bah! Humbug! their challenge is to use vellum and at Die Cut Dreams theirs is for Christmas humour.

I don't have many humorous Christmas stamps so decided to use my digistamp "Mistletoe Kisses" from Prairie Fairy as she just makes me giggle every time I look at her.  She's coloured in ProMarkers and I have added Diamond Glaze to her glasses, white Flower Soft for her bobble and edges of the jacket, Glamour Dust on the edge of her hat and pearls for the mistletoe berries.

I then used my nesties but as she was larger than the size I wanted to use I placed the nestie over the image and marked where she overlapped the die and then cut that piece out by hand and when I put the die over the image prior to cutting I made sure the handcut piece was over the top of the die so it didn't get cut.  I then trimmed this down so I could mount it on gold mirri cut with the same size die which was then mounted on red mirri.  The backing paper is from Papermania Classic Christmas.  The vellum is from my stash and I'm not sure if you can see but it has white Christmas sentiments printed on it - this was torn and the edge inked in red.  The tickets are a digistamp from Cuddly Buddly and were printed out onto cream card and inked.  The ribbon and gems are from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by.

Easter card

Just finished this Easter card using a Sarah Kay free digistamp, coloured in using Promarkers. Matted and layered onto SU card using Labels 8 nesties with a nesties heart border and ribbon. The gingham paper is from my stash and the SU yellow card has been embossed using a Crafts Too embossing folder. The corner swirls are also part of a nesties borderabilities. The flowers are held together with a brad and fern leaves are from my L-Em rock fern punch. The sentiment was computer generated and matted using my SU oval and scalloped oval punches. Final touches are some gems and Diamond Glaze on chicks and hat.

Snowman Challenge at Bah Humbug!!

The latest challenge at Bah Humbug is to make a card with the theme of a snowman. I was scratching my head a bit as I don't own any snowmen stamps and then I hit upon the idea of downloading a digi stamp.

The one I have used here is a free digi stamp from Cuddly Buddly which has been coloured using Promarkers with some Diamond Glaze and Stickles adding the finishing touches. The image is mounted onto copper mirri and green SU card using my nesties. There is a border across the card which I edged with my SU eyelet border on each side, cut a piece of the backing paper to go down the middle and finished it with some ribbon. The sentiment is computer generated and cut out and mounted using SU oval and scalloped oval punches. The brad was made with the Papermania brad maker where you get empty brads in different sizes, three punches and clear domes to place over the top.

Thanks for looking.
