Make My Monday - Week 44 - Vintage

The theme over at Make My Monday is continuing with Men and Boys but this week is VINTAGE.  For my card I took a piece of kraft card to make an A5 blank and covered the front with some scrapbook paper from my stash showing bicycles.  Sponged round the edges with Old Paper DI.  I sponged a piece of Tim Holtz Kraft Resist with DI and then put it through my die cutting machine in an embossing folder called Work Shop by Couture Creations.  I stamped the image - Bicycle by Darkroom Door - onto cream card using Walnut Stain DI and then sponged colour on using Barn Door, Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen DI.  This was torn round the edges and matted onto a piece of kraft card.  A piece of red card was also embossed with the Work Shop folder and inked with Walnut Stain.  The whole piece was then assembled with the addition of metal die cuts using Sprightly Sprockets and then putting through with the Work Shop embossing folder and then stained with Promarkers.  The sentiments are various words from my stash stamped in Walnut Stain and clear embossed - again torn round the edges and sponged with Barn Door DI.

I'm also entering this into Joanna Sheen's challenge "It's a man's world".

Thanks for dropping by.

Less is More - Week 44 - Colour - Green

The challenge this week over at Less Is More is the colour GREEN.  I decided to use a word block stamp from Darkroom Door called Christmas.  I stamped it onto cream card using Stampin Up Old Olive and then clear embossed it.  I then die cut it using nesties.  The mount and card base were then die cut using my Go Kreate XL Frilly Frames.   A simple green and white dotty ribbon finished it off.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Black, White & Red Challenge

I have just entered the Black, White & Red Darkroom Door challenge over on the Darkroom Door blog. Darkroom Door is an Austrialian company and I found them a few months ago. They sell their stamps in wonderful metal tins with the stamped images on the front - a real neat way to store them.

As the challenge is black, white and red this is what I've done. Main image stamped in black on white card and clear embossed. The image was then cut out and layered onto black card to which I added a red moon and reflection, then matted onto red mirri, black mirri and white card. The Venice definition was done in the same way. I then added some red ribbon and red gems and it's finished.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed as they are giving away three stamp sets to the lucky winners.

Thanks for looking :o)

Venice birthday card

Also managed to fit in making a birthday card for my nephew, Keir.

Always find it difficult finding male orientated themes but had this lovely Venice set of stamps from Darkroom Door, an Australian company.

Over the top of the main image is a stamped and clear embossed postal mark and gondola on acetate which is domed over the top of the image and firmly stuck on the underside of the card.

Hope he likes it. Of course he never knows what he wants for his birthday and always appreciates a slip of paper with figures written on it.............
