Crafty Cardmakers #141 For a Man or Boy

Well, wouldn't you know........nothing for ages and then, just like buses, a few arrive within a short time!!! lol

Ages ago I bought a decoupage sheet from The House of Zandra (I do love their quirky designs) and after it was sitting on my desk for ages I made it up and there it still sat.  Anyhow I saw the Crafty Cardmakers new challenge #141 For a Man or Boy and thought this character would fit the bill perfectly.

I placed the White Rabbit onto two mats die cut using GoKreate XXL Frilly Labels from papers that are in Dovecraft Curiosity Corner pack.  The top layer was embossed using Couture Creations Work Shop e/f.  The backing papers are from the same paper pack and the border with the watch was cut from another piece of the paper.  The sentiment is computer generated and punched using a SU labels punch.  I've added Diamond Glaze to various parts of the decoupage, especially the clocks.

Thanks for dropping by.

Happy crafting.

Less is More - Week 89 - One Layer

Hope you're all having a good weekend.  After a very frosty morning it has been a glorious day with blue sky and sunshine - which isn't what was forecast...............but a very welcome bonus all the same.

We're back to a One Layer challenge this week over at Less is More and the theme is:

Time for
ONE LAYER

again and this time we have given you lots of scope with our theme of
Wings
There are lots of things which would qualify in this category... insects, birds, cars, aeroplanes... what else can you think of?

I've used a 6x6 base pearlised card and stamped my little birdies (Dovecraft Feathered Friends) using a Kaleidacolour Autumn Leaves stamp pad which I then clear embossed.  The sentiment is from a Joanna Sheen "Wordy" set and also stamped and clear embossed.  I then used my Stampin Up Simply Scored board to emboss the lines............et voila!!!
Thanks for dropping by.

Bah Humbug Challenge 30 - Lace

The latest challenge over at Humbug Hall is Lace.  I've taken an 8" square card blank and using my Grand nesties cut some backing paper from Dovecraft "Let it Snow" using the largest die.  The main image is a Lili of the Valley Christmas topper die cut using the same shape nesties but in the smaller set and mounted onto some red mirri.  I've punched a border of gold linen cardstock and pleated my lace across the page.  The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Contempo Christmas set, again die cut and mounted onto gold mirri.  I've added a poinsettia, some gems and a sprinkling of snow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Bah! Humbug! Challenge 25 - Penguins

This week's challenge over at Humbug Hall is Penguins.  After having a look through my stash I decided to use this digi stamp from Prairie Fairy which is called Polar Pals.  I've coloured with Promarkers and added Stickles for the snow and wings.  The image has been die cut using nesties and I sponged around the edge.  This has been layered onto another die cut in a co-ordinating colour.  The backing paper is from Dovecraft "Let it Snow" pad and has cute little penguins on it.  The borders are made using a Martha Stewart snowflake punch.  The sentiment is computer generated using Summer's Snowman font which you can get here.  The photo corners are an EK Success punch and I added a ribbon to finish.

Bah Humbug - challenge 22 Surprise Surprise

This week's challenge over at Humbug Hall is Surprise Surprise and to produce something which contains a 'Surprise'.  My sister recently made me a birthday card with a surprise and so have decided to make one of these tea light cards (my one contained pots of glitter - what else!!!).

The backing card I've used is from Dovecraft "Let it Snow" pad and the main cardstock is a pearl copper card.  The stamp is by Judikins called "Angel Peeking" and it's been stamped with Memento ink and coloured with Promarkers.  I used a Quickie Glue Pen around the halo and wings and added Glamour Dust.  I have used nestabilities labels 4 to die cut everything on this project including the aperture in the box which has an acetate window.  The sentiment inside is from Dovecraft Christmas Wishes clear stamp set.  Everything has been finished off with some gold glitter ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by.

Apertures and Starlight, Starbright

This week's challenge over at Bah! Humbug! is apertures and over at Die Cut Dreams it is starlight, starbright.  As I'm desperately trying to sort out my craft room and moving books to our new bookcase I thought I would cover both challenges in one card.

I have taken an 8x8" scalloped card and covered with paper from Dovecraft Let it Snow series.  I then positioned one of my grand nesties (Labels 1) on the front and put it through my JT machine.  The paper I have used for the front of the card is double sided so I cut a frame using the same nesties but turned the paper over to use the plain back as it was a perfect match for the patterned side.  I layered some acetate over the frame and glued it down and then put shaker tape around the back of the frame ready for putting it over the aperture.  The image is from a stamp set by Debbi Moore and has been coloured in with Promarkers and Diamond Sparkles used for the fluffy bits on the dresses/shoes and also the stars.  I then punched out stars of various sizes from red, green and gold mirri to put as the "shaker" element of the card and placed the acetate and frame over the top.  The sentiment is from a clear stamp set by Dovecraft and has been embossed using detail gold e/p.  The snowflakes are made using a die called Winter's Jewel 1 from Whimsy Stamps.  The border has been made using a Martha Stewart edge punch.  I then added a few gems to finish off.
