Be my Valentine...........

Hello Everyone

Hope you've all had a good week.  The weather down here in Somerset has been pretty good this week apart from some horrendous winds on Tuesday evening which saw a neighbour's small greenhouse end up in our garden!!!  Enough said!

Anyway on to my Valentine card that I have made my hubby.  Here it is:

I started off with an 8"x 8" scalloped card base and cut out 3 mats, two red and one white.  The top red mat went through my machine with my We R Memory Keepers Next Level Dotted e/f.  The fancy toppers were cut using Sue Wilson Portuguese Collection - Lisbon and the sentiment is Honey Doo Crafts Life & Heart stamps.  The die cut sentiment is Penny Black and I just cut the Happy away from the other part of the die so I could put it in opposite corners of the card.  Each embossed heart has a small gem in the centre.  Flowers and ribbon were from my stash, as were the hat pins.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Happy crafting.

Get well soon

Afternoon everyone

Just wanted to post a card I've made for a lovely friend who has just had a heart attack........what an awful shock for everyone.  Still from what I've heard she's back home and hopefully (!!!) taking it easy.

It's been mainly made using the Heartfelt Creations Birds & Blooms collection.  The sentiment is from SU Sincere salutations.  The roses, card candy and ribbon were from my stash.  I used Sue Wilson pierced rectangles to die cut all the mats. Added a bit of bling on the centres of the flowers with some Glamour Dust.

Thanks for dropping by.

Happy crafting.

Less is More - Week 260 Recipe

Morning Everyone

Wet and windy down here in Somerset but nice and snug in my craft room.

This week's challenge over at Less is More is:

Our Recipe is for  you to include a
 SILHOUETTE
in your creations.

It's been ages since I joined in the fun over at Less is More so had a rifle through my stamps to see what silhouette images I had and came up with this:

The image is Stampin Up "Marry Me" (an old one), the frame dies are Sue Wilson Lisbon dies, the embossed background is We R Memory Keepers Gemstone embossing folder and the leaves are Die-sire Wildflower Trio (not sure why as they are all leaves!!!) and finally a few gems from my stash along with a bow.

Thanks for dropping by and for any comments you leave - they are very much appreciated.

Rockin' on

Hi Everyone - Happy New Year.

I've just realised that this is my first post in 2016.  It's been pretty busy with lots of birthdays and anniversaries in January and although I managed to do some really nice cards I was in a bit of a rush for postal deadlines and totally forgot to take photos, so they all went in their envelopes and off in the post!!!  Duh.........what an idiot eh?

I hope this post redeems me.  It's my friend Inga's birthday next week and I thought I'd make her a circular stepper card using a Tattered Lace die set.  I'm not sure if anyone else has the same problem as me with these dies but the circle stepper seems to lean to the right a fraction so have to put an extra embellishment on the left of the stepper to balance it..............if anyone's got an answer then I'd be delighted to hear it.

Anyway, here it is and also the box I made to go with it.

Most of the card was made using snippets and embellishments already in my stash.  The large flower and matching butterfly is a Prima flower set, the fancy frame is Sue Wilson French Collection Burgundy and the lady is from a printed vellum sheet.  Extra flowers, stick pins etc are from my stash.

Right, I'm off to make a warming cuppa.  Hope you all have a lovely weekend - looks like it's going to be a really cold one!

Happy crafting.
