Hi there everyone......well I'm a little bit trepidatious today posting this but I've been egged on by my super blogging friend Darnell to have a go at WOYWW.
My hesitation is that my workspace is ALWAYS messy. No sooner than I have a tidy up and pat myself on the back it is back to square one as soon as I start crafting again!!! lol Anyway here's a photo of my workspace this morning..........big table, not much room to craft (usually ends up with a 6" square.........!) some recent cards I've posted and some boxes of dreaded peel-offs. Do you remember when we used to use these all the time? Well, I have so many and really don't use them any longer but at the craft group my friend Anne and I run we are going to do a Zentangle project with them next month and one idea is to use large, open spaced peel-offs as the shape they can then fill with pattern. Hopefully I can get rid of some!!! lol So can I apologise now for all of you neat freaks out there............but here's my photo!
Thanks for dropping by. I'm really intrigued to see what comments I get!
A medal for your bravery Karen!! Great idea for the peel offs except I find it very restricting to doodle in a small space:)

I agree with Val you are so brave posting your desk.....not worth posting my desk as its clear (at the moment)....wait until you get that new craft room you wont know yourself...

I can't be doing with 'neat freaks' - thanks for sharing and a 6" square is quite a large space to work in (mine shrinks to much less at times).
ReplyDeleteWell done on joining in - come back and show more again! Your space doesn't look too bad to me (but I am VERY untidy! Helen, 19
ReplyDeleteWelcome to WOYWW - looks like a very organised desk to me with lots of potential! And as for the 6 inch square syndrome, I think the majority of crafters can relate to that. When it gets down to 4 x 4 I have to tidy up!! Happy WOYWW Cindy #17
ReplyDeletewelcome to woyww,we all craft in different ways, hope you join in again
ReplyDeletehave a super woyww

Well done for posting the pic - I think we are all the same - you have much more available space than I do near anything resembling a desk currently! I'm sure I could be much more productive if only I could find what I want first.
ReplyDeleteDippy is soooo proud of you, Karendipity!! No one judges on here. Leastwise, I don't think anyone should judge, both the "messies" about the "neat freaks" or the other way around. Whatever floats your boat is what I say, right? Or perhaps I should coin a new phrase for WOYWW and say, "Whatever colors your cardstock!"
ReplyDeleteIt will be fun to "watch this space and see what happens ...!" It's especially neat for me to now picture you at work creating, but pray, woman, where do your feet go?
Hearts! Darnell #59
Ah Karen, nice to see you here and also nice to finally see where all the wonderful creativity lives. There's no judging here and a creative area gives lots more snooping opportunities than a tidy one!

We don't judge...we have all been there...impossible to be spotless 100% of the time if you are creative.
ReplyDeleteI like to clean mine in between projects...so i might be messy for a day or for a week or a couple of weeks depending on what I am working on!
When we see mess...we see creating or possiblities for creating!
I LOVE seeing these posts so thanks for sharing Karen - you sure have a lost of craft goodies!! xxx
ReplyDeleteLove your workspace- I just don't do tidy, I'm afraid, lol. And I so know what you mean about peeloffs- I have folders full of the things, rarely use any now- maybe the odd greeting or border line to cover a join I don't like. Have a great week, Shaz #107
ReplyDeleteIt's not messy, honest!! Thank you for my snoop! HaPpY Late WOYwW!

Well done Karen, it's great to welcome you to WOYWW! and believe me, this is the perfect forum for showing us..because none of us mind whether its messy or not....the definition of mess is utterly flexible, I tell ya!! Lovely space you've got there, and erm, one or two SU! Ink pads!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd ever join in either Karen, my workspace is terrible. Like you I end up working on a postage stamp of space. Looks like you have a lovely big window with loads of gorgeous light coming in. x
ReplyDeleteHi Karen ... thanks for following, I've done the same (not me, you!), looking forward to meandering through your creative musings. Is your desk messy? I like to think of it as creative ... mine looks like this most of the time and I'm a neat freak! Anita
