Less is More - Week 112 Recipe

Hi everyone - hope you all had a good weekend.

There's a new challenge over at Less is More and this week it is a recipe challenge.  Here's what the girls say:

This week may be a little more challenging but we know you will come up with some fabulous ideas.  The recipe this week is...
USE BEADS
We want to see beads somewhere dotted around on your creations this week .

For my card I decided that the focus would be the beads so I started to sort through my stash to see what I had.  I found some lovely amethyst coloured beads and an idea emerged.

I got some wire and threaded my beads so they formed a flower head with a circular bead in the middle.  I needed more than one flower so decided to do more of a bud or sideways view and for this I used three of the drop beads with a circular bead in the middle.

These were then wired onto a piece of green wire and I added two green leaf beads.  I still wanted the design to be more CAS than not (!!!) so ran a piece of pearl card through my eBosser with an Embossalicious 6x6 e/f.  This was mounted onto a 6x6 card base and I used Pinflair to stick down my flower.  The sentiment is from SU Oval All and cut using my SU oval and scalloped oval punches.  So a fairly simple card but it did take more than one go at the larger flower head as the wire broke the first time...........hmmm; luckily no-one was within earshot!!!  lol

Thanks for dropping by.

  7. Your card is so pretty, Karendipity! I'm sorry it gave you fits of cursing. It is CASlicious, but I wouldn't call it simple. I would, however, call if beautiful!!

  9. Those drop beads are brilliant for making flowers - annoying though when the wire breaks (caused by overworking it as I'm sure you know). Great embossing folder which needs to be added to my wish list (ever growing!!)
