Well it's a different story today........a lot cooler and rain most of the day although it's cleared up now and the sun is out - and everything is steaming! Can't please everyone eh? lol
Thought I might miss out on joining in the fun over at Less is More where the current challenge is a sketch:
The twofer is because I'm mean............well, I die cut two apertures out of a piece of cardstock so I could use the negative shapes and then thought well I might as well use the two shapes to make another card. So here they are:
For the first one I diecut the two apertures using Die-namics pierced rectangles and used a snippet of d/p from my stash behind the largest aperture. The sentiment is Heartfelt Creations. I finished off by punching the bird and branch out of the same d/p using SU build a bird punch.
The second card used the two positive shapes which I was left with and I've used my SU Timeless Love stamp set - main image for the top with the corner stamped image fussy cut. Coloured with Akashiya Sai Watercolour Brush Pens and added some gold Wink of Stella to the centre of the flowers. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I've added a punched butterfly - it wasn't my intention but I got an ink splat on the sentiment topper and I thought it balanced everything out - phew! The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug e/f.
A warm welcome to new follower Hazel.
Thanks for dropping by.
Happy crafting.

Now that's what I call economy and I love it, Karendipity!! It is always so hard for me to line up a double cut on a card like you did here, so my hat's off to you! Fun to see you doing twofers, too! They are both superb!! Hugs, Dippy xxoo
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards. Always good to use up the cut-outs ... something I rarely do. Pitch them into a box and maybe they will be used as snippets at another time. Why don't I just do a second card??!! :) You are really showing me the way, Karen. Not only two cards, but two beautiful, inspiring cards. xx
ReplyDeleteFantastic work Karen. Love both these cards and can't pick a favourite.
ReplyDeleteSuch elegance and pretty colours to both and great takes on the sketch
Thanks so much for sharing and taking part.

A couple of beauties, Karen ... so very pretty ... that little bird is so cute and the balance of that sweet butterfly on the senitment panel is perfect (even if it is covering an oops!)! Hugs, Anita :)
