Less is More - Week 124 - THEME

Hello everyone - well the weather is a bit better today after a very dismal and damp weekend.  We were quite lucky on Saturday as it stopped raining just before our village BBQ but was extremely windy with paper plates, napkins etc flying all over the place!!!  Still, I think everyone enjoyed it.  Yesterday a group of us went to the Sincerely Yours show at Taunton and, of course, made a beeline for Oyster Stamps where my buddy Martine had kindly brought along my pre-requested stash!!!  lol  Huge thanks Hun - you're a star :o)

Well, it's been a couple of weeks since I was able to join in the fun at Less is More but was determined to play along this week and the challenge is:

For our Theme this week we have chosen something this is very prevalent in Blogland at present... and that is
HEXAGONS.
There seem to be all sorts in evidence at the moment from dies and stamps to embossing folders and even hexagonal shaped cards.

My card is a very simple one.  I used my Sizzix Honeycomb e/f to emboss a piece of white pearl card and then die cut some hexagons using my Clearly Besotted honeycomb dies using d/p from my stash.  I die cut seven shapes and added them onto the embossed background.  Used a piece of (I think) SU ribbon to tie around the card.  The sentiment is from the Filigree stamp set by Mama Elephant, punched with my EK Success label punch and tied using some bakers' twine.  This has then been popped up on d/s foam to the card blank.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you all have a creative week.

  2. Love your card. I've got the embossing folder and am 'oh so tempted' to get the SU punch and stamps once the new catalogue goes 'live'.
