Hello everyone - how are you enjoying this lovely weather......well it is down here in Somerset but looks like the country is divided on the weather front.
I was asked to make two 21st birthday cards for a chap whose 18th birthday card I made.....well, three years ago!!! lol I was given two interests...........one was paintballing (help......) and the other was motorbikes. I had been given plenty of notice which quite frankly I needed to come up with something for the paintballing card. Anyway below are the photos of the two cards. The paintballing card is a double pop-out card and the motorbike card is a tri-shutter card. Hope you like them.
All was going well and finished off all the printing I needed for the paintballing card. I was busy with other "stuff" for about 3 weeks when I started to prepare the motorbike card.........and my printer died! Isn't it always the way.........always seems to happen on a Friday as well. Anyway I ordered my new printer which arrived a few days later. Installed it and everything was fine. For the motorbike card I prepared a lot of it using CraftArtist and I printed pages onto copy paper first to make sure I'd got the sizes correct etc. Then just as I was about to print out the final version on cardstock I got a warning beep and "paper jam" message.........once, twice, three times et al. Tried everything I could think of, phoned the company I bought the printer from and they said they thought the roller had jammed, so ended up ringing Epson directly who were very good and said anything that goes wrong with their printers up to 30 days of receipt is called "dead on arrival" and have agreed to send a new printer so I'm totally without a printer (except for a b&w laser) and feel totally lost. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed it arrives soon. BTW all this happened on a Friday again! Think I'm going to stay in bed this week.............hehe
Happy crafting.
Fabukous çards Karen I am sure they will be thrilled with them.......hope your new printer arrives soon

I'm sure he'll be pleased with these Karen, they are so personal! I love the shutter card those bikes look as if they are going to zoom out :o) What is it with you and printers? Good job you had all the printing done before it died again. Weather is fab here and not at all humid. i got my aircon regassed yesterday so that was opportune with the heat today!

These two cards are fabulous and I'm sure he will just love them both. What a hassle with the printers but at least you are getting a replacement for the DOA one (their definition just made me smile!).

Holy paint balls, Karendipity, these are museum pieces, no doubt about it! Ben is going to be awe-mazed by them. They are architectural wonders of design and color and folds! I wish you didn't live so far away. I would give anything to come and watch you in action executing these designs! I am so sorry to hear about your printer problems, but I'm going to remember Epson's great 30-day policy of no hassling, which is good for something. Enjoy the lovely weather!! Hugs, Dippy xxoo
