Hi everyone
Hope you're all keeping cool!!! Not often we have to say that eh? Just wanted to ask your opinion. Next weekend our local horticultural society have their annual show and one of the sections is photography with the title "Insect". Soooooo, as I am entering quite a few things I decided to have a go at this one as well. Anyway, I am a bit torn between three photos and thought I'd ask your opinions on which one you think I should choose. Here they are:

Photo #2 |

Photo #3 |
If you're wondering what flower these bees love so much they are leek flowers............I grow them every year just for their flower heads as the bees just adore them. Strange but true!
What do you think? Let me know and I'll take the one with the highest number of votes. I'll let you know how I get on!!!
Three great photos - I'd go for number three. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Val, defo no 3, good luck with the competition:)

Looks as if it's going to be #3, Karen!!! I will also go with it!! I love the little bits of purple and red in the bg - it just adds to the success of the photo's!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!
Have a super Thursday!!
Hi Karen. I'm going against the grain and voting for Photo #1. It's amazing that you can actually see the design on the bees wings. Either way, all three photos are spectacular. Good luck! Loll xx
ReplyDeleteoh number three love the angle showing the bumbly

First, they are ALL great photos, Karendipity!! I quickly narrowed it down to 2 and 3 and then got stuck scrolling back and for between the two. I'm ever so slightly leaning towards no. 2 because a) it's a gorgeous shot of the back side of the bee, the furry head and the sheen on the wings, and his/her little bottom, b) it and the head of leek flowers is perfectly balanced in the frame, c) you have captured amazing colors in the blurred flower backdrop, and d) while no. 3 is AWE-MAZING, it is also commonly "done" by other photographers, which makes no. 2 more unique! IMHO, of course!! Hugs, Dippy
ReplyDeleteHad I been at home and seen this I would have gone with no 2 - lovely photo
