Another bag

I just had to have a go at making this Twisted Panel Bag after I saw it on the Talking Threads Christmas Special DVD.

This bag doesn't take much fabric to make - you need 36 strips of fabric; 12 of three different fabrics - two that match/co-ordinate and one that's a bit "glitzy" which is the one in the middle. You actually catch down a pleat of two plain pieces of fabric over the glitzy one all along one side and then turn the piece around and do the same on the other side. This makes your twist in the fabric. I need to get some matching cord as I only had some gold which doesn't really go but wanted to see it all together. Sorry if the photo quality isn't very good but my batteries just died on me and I need to put some more in.

Thanks for looking.

  1. Lovely bag - one can never have too many!! I have made something similar in the past from a book of Japanese designs
